I didn’t need a good reason to try this recipe- I just had a taste for something sweet!!! A box of Angel Food cake mix and a 20oz can of crushed pineapple with its liquid. That’s it!! Two ingredients. Combine them in the bowl and watch the magic when the cake mix and pineapple combine. They turn into a frothy light airy tangy tasting mixture. I upped the baking time to about 35 minutes. The house smelled so good. My friend Irene added whipped cream for a luscious finish. Don’t tell anyone how easy this is. It will be our little secret!!!!
So easy and so good. The Pioneer Woman’s recipe for The Bread is simple but effective. This creation turns out like a wonderful buttery soft crouton. I couldn’t stop eating it!!! My only warning would be to watch the bread while it is in the broiler. It could go very wrong- very quick! I broiled on high, on the middle rack of my oven and it took about 5 minutes, but I kept checking it as if my life depended on it. Try this one!
I am so impressed with how this worked to clean my vent covers on my stove. Probably one if the grimiest things in my kitchen. I have tried traditional scrubbing before and nearly ruined the mesh. I found this method on Pinterest and: POOF!!!! Clean covers!!
Boil water in a pot large enough for your vent covers. When water is boiling add SLOWLY a half cup of baking soda. I can’t EMPHASIZE enough how important it is to ADD THE BAKING SODA SLOWLY!!!!!! Even a teaspoon at a time nearly caused a boil over!!! Dip your covers one at a time in the boiling mixture (I used tongs to hold onto them) it only takes a few minutes to loosen the grease. I finished with a good rinse under my kitchen faucet to wash away the loose gunk. I decided to pour my yucky water in my fire pit outside.
I will remember this for A LONG TIME!
These were so easy!! Thanks Pinterest for this amazing dinner! I only made a half recipe using one pound of ground beef and ended up with 12 tacos and more filling to spare for leftovers. I froze the other half of my green chilis, tomato sauce and refried beans. We added fresh salsa from SAMs Club, lettuce, sour cream, and olives. I will say one more time. YUM!!!!!
Here’s the Pinterest link to the recipe I used.
Another success!!! Cheese Bread like the biscuits served at Red Lobster was so easy. This was not a yeast bread, it was a quick way to avoid dropping biscuits blobs on to a baking sheet. The tip the recipe uses to prevent the cheese cubes from sinking to the bottom WORKED. Just mix the cheese into the dry flour mixture and then add the wet ingredients.
Next time I make this I would bake a little longer than the recipe states – the bread was a hair doughy in the middle. Another 5 or 10 minutes int eh oven would have made a big difference.
Surprisingly there was bread left over after dinner. Next day we used the taster to warm the bread. That added a nice little crunch – so yummy!
So – SO easy! This recipe was a snap! The only challenge was finding the cooking sherry in the grocery store. Now I am set with that ingredient for a long time. I used some thin cut rib-eye instead of the sirloin because that’s what looked better in the butcher case. I also went with fresh broccoli. I sped the process along by spending some time pre-cutting and mixes all the ingredients so when the wok was hot I was ready to go. This passed the family dinner test with flying colors. Friends even walked in and said my house smelled so good!
Just HAD to try this recipe. Man Pleasing Chicken – one of my recent finds on Pinterest. I am happy to say it passed my chicken hater child. He ate it with no complaints. The cooking sauce was ultra easy. How can you go wrong with 3 ingredients! I didn’t garnish with rosemary as the recipe suggests – only because I HATE rosemary. I was slightly disappointed my creation didn’t get as pretty looking with the browned corners like the picture but the taste was yummy. Tender chicken and super easy!
